How much electricity does solar PV produce?
Sources checked
The source's long-term PVGIS 5.3 estimates give roughly 5,800–6,000 kWh per year for a 5 kWp south-facing system in three Slovak locations. The scenarios use a 35° tilt, ventilated panels and 14% entered system losses, obtained on 21 October 2026. They are model estimates rather than promised roof performance.
Look at monthly production
The Bratislava model produces about 726 kWh in July and 195 kWh in December. The annual total hides that seasonal difference. Snow, fog, shading, local conditions and equipment can change the result for a real installation.
For a different power or roof, retain the assumptions behind any estimate and check what can legitimately be scaled. Long-term average monthly output does not predict an individual week's weather.
Generation is not household savings
Only generation used to avoid imports, plus the net value of exported electricity, contributes to the energy benefit. Annual production alone cannot establish self-consumption or the final bill.
Compare estimates with monitoring over equivalent periods and account for outages, export limits and configuration changes. The website's separate hourly calculator uses declared 2023 weather scenarios; it is not the same dataset as the long-term monthly production illustration.
