Assess permissions for the entire property project, rather than panel power alone. Building procedures, property-owner consent, distribution connection and taxation are separate questions. A power threshold in one regime does not establish an exemption in every other regime.
Describe the actual construction work
Roof-mounted panels, a new carport, a ground structure and work carried out alongside roof reconstruction can raise different questions even at the same rated power. Prepare the location, dimensions, mounting method, drawings and a description of related works.
Use the applicable version of the building legislation and ask the competent authority about the specific proposal where classification or a threshold is unclear. The general guide does not replace an assessment of your property.
Keep approvals and the installed design together
Obtain the necessary ownership permissions and technical distribution conditions before operation. Keep the approved design, final wiring documentation and records of changes. Later expansion or storage additions may require a fresh check.
Separate generation capacity, inverter rating and permitted export when asking about obligations. Ask the authority which statutory provision and project facts support its answer, then retain that answer with the installation file.
