Solar owner obligations and reporting: identify your regime
Sources checked
There is no single identical reporting checklist for every PV owner. Identify the operator, installation power, connection arrangement, support and use of the electricity first. An exemption from a particular report does not automatically remove contractual, metering or tax duties.
Write down the facts behind the obligations
Record who operates the source, its panel and inverter ratings, the permitted export and whether electricity is consumed, sold or shared. Add the applicable support scheme and any business activity. These facts determine which provisions and agreements need to be checked.
Read exemptions in their specific statutory context. A customs or income-tax form is not the same as an energy-sector report, and a distribution procedure serves a different purpose from commercial settlement.
Assign a document, owner and deadline
For each applicable duty, record its legal or contractual basis, required data, responsible person and deadline. Keep metering, connection, support and settlement records in the installation file.
Recheck the list after changing the operator, adding storage, expanding generation or changing the export service. A contractor handling one application does not necessarily take responsibility for all later owner obligations.
