A battery-module price is not the price of a functioning home storage system. In observations from 22 October 2026, two sellers listed the nominal 4.8 kWh Pylontech US5000 module at €954 and €1,020.90 including VAT, without a verified complete installed price.
Read the model and scope
Two US5000 modules at €1,020.90 each total €2,041.80 and 9.6 kWh nominal capacity. That arithmetic does not establish usable capacity, compatibility, backup or an installed-system quote.
Confirm the exact variant and revision. Deye SE-F16-C must not be treated as the same product as SE-F16 without the suffix. Stock status and delivery require confirmation; a search snippet is not reliable evidence when the opened product page says otherwise.
Ask for the complete retrofit cost
Include the supported inverter, controller, metering, communication, wiring, protection, mounting, delivery, switchboard work, commissioning and documentation. Itemise any backup switching and circuits. The difference between two unrelated PV packages is not necessarily the price of their batteries.
Compare usable kWh, continuous kW, operating limits and service as well as price. Include losses, forgone export value and future replacement scenarios when assessing the additional financial benefit of storage.
