Building-integrated PV combines part of the roof envelope with electricity generation. It is most useful to assess during new construction or a planned roof replacement, when the comparison can include the cost of ordinary new roofing plus conventional panels.
Design the roof and electrical system together
Weatherproofing, joints, ventilation, structural support, wiring and access for repair must form one compatible solution. A photovoltaic product is not automatically a complete watertight roof covering without its documented system details.
Confirm usable generating area, shading and the inverter arrangement. Compare the completed roof's function as well as the module's output rating.
Ask for local availability and service
The source does not establish a universal installed price in Slovakia. An overseas datasheet does not confirm local supply, approved installation, spare parts or a final local budget.
Ask who supplies replacement tiles or modules, how electrical faults are accessed, who covers leaks and which warranties apply to roofing and generation. Compare the total new-roof alternatives with the same structural, weatherproofing and electrical scope.
