Solar irrigation: watering programme, tank and absence
Sources checked
Solar irrigation needs enough water and energy, plus a watering programme suited to the plants. Verify the number of emitters and available modes for the exact model. Tank size should follow actual use and the length of absence rather than a universal weeks-without-refilling claim.
Check the hydraulic layout
Compare the supported hose lengths, emitter arrangement, lift, filtration and water-source requirements. A nominal emitter count does not prove equal delivery in every layout or at every height.
Identify panel, pump, storage and controller contents. Follow the approved positioning and operating conditions for the full kit.
Test before leaving it unattended
Set the intended programme and measure consumption under ordinary site conditions. Confirm how the system responds to low water, poor sunlight or interruption. Allow for changing weather and plant needs rather than assuming one fixed programme always works.
Plan refilling, cleaning, frost care and access. A successful short demonstration does not establish reliable watering throughout a much longer absence without checking both water and energy reserves.
